Ambulette Transportation

Wheelchair transport in Westchester County and NYC

How to book a Medicaid trip in the NY metro area

One of the ways in which patients can get their ambulette trips to the hospital or doctor paid for is by qualifying for Medicaid.  Once you can get Medicaid and need to book a ride, you must contact the 3rd party company called Medical Answering Service, aka M.A.S.  They are the company that is contracted with New York State to schedule Medicaid medical rides for New York residents.  You cannot book a Medicaid taxi service directly through the transportation company you want to ride with.  Here are the steps to take when booking a Medicaid trip in New York City and Westchester:

1. Have the company name you want to ride with ready.  Assisted Transportation does not yet do Medicaid, so we highly suggest that when you call, ask for:

Statewide Ambulette Service

2. Figure out what county you are in, as there are different phone numbers for different counties

3. Call M.A.S. (click the name of county you will be traveling in)

Remember to ask for
